Name:   Angela Barton
How long have you lived in the community?       3 years
Why do you want to become a board member? I know that I have the necessary experience and dedication to continue to make positive changes for St Charles. I have enjoyed serving our community.
Have you served on this association or any other association board of directors in the past? I am presently on the board at St Charles.
Have you served on any association committees in the past?  Just St Charles.
What issues are you most concerned about in the community?  I’m concerned about the completion of many projects here at St Charles. It is critical that the board work together with residents to address the needs of the community.
Please share any other information that you would like to share with the community regarding your qualifications.     I’m very driven to find solutions that will improve St Charles. I’m very approachable and willing to listen to every resident.
Short bio for the online ballot.   I have lived on site at St. Charles for 3 years.  I’m a retired educator. I’ve served on many boards and committees throughout my career.
 
Name:  Gaye Leia King
How long have you lived in the community?  4 years
Why do you want to become a board member?  I would love to continue my service as an active board member serving the owners and residents of the St. Charles Community. I have served on the board for the past 3 years learning the ins and outs of all facets of the common property while advocating for repairs in the best interest of all owners.
Have you served on this association or any other association board of directors in the past? Please list all experiences.           Please see above statement.
Have you served on any association committees in the past? Include all previous associations.      I have also served as a board member for national professional non-profit organizations: Women In Communications; and the National Episcopal Church Committee for Indian Work.
What issues are you most concerned about in the community?  I am very concerned with maintaining the structural safety of the property within a the budget constraints. The insurance deductible for the roof replacement cause by the 2016 storm wiped out the reserve account. We are attempting to build revenue in the account, but with great difficulty due to the age of our property.
Please share any other information that you would like to share with the community regarding your qualifications.     I managed a federal education program with an annual budget of over $100 million for 10 years.
Short bio for the online ballot.   I have lived on site at St. Charles for 4 years.  I grew up in Oklahoma.  I earned a B.A. degree in journalism and a M.S. in Higher Education. I served in Federal government service at the U.S. Dept. of Education and at the U. S. Dept. of the Interior. I retired from 30 years of federal government service in 2019. I settled in San Antonio to be near my daughter’s family.

How long have you lived in the community?  1.5 yrs
Why do you want to become a board member? With my experience in property management and real estate, I believe I would be an asset to the board.
Have you served on this association or any other association board of directors in the past? Please list all experiences.           No
Have you served on any association committees in the past? Include all previous associations.      No
What issues are you most concerned about in the community?  I believe my biggest concern is the cost it takes to run the community. I believe with my contacts through my property management company, I may be able to help bring costs down which would help all owners save money. At least, this would be my goal.
Please share any other information that you would like to share with the community regarding your qualifications.     I have been in real estate for 30 years and have owned a property management/remodeling and rehab company for the last 11 years. I believe my experience is what our board may need. I would love an opportunity to see how I may be able to help. I know the high costs are hurting everybody right now, and I would make it my goal to do my best to bring those costs down for all of us.
Short bio for the online ballot.   My name is Kim Salisbury, I am 54 years young and am a real estate professional and a property manager/remodeler. I love what I do and have been in the business for 30 years. I have two children, one with special needs, and two grandchildren. God has blessed me with the best of both worlds. I am a connector, creative, nurturer, and take everything I do seriously and with the best intentions. I love people and serving them. I am highly involved as a leader in my church. This is where I spend most of my extra time, serving my congregation and the community. I coordinate and handle many aspects of all of our events and Decour. I birthed the event ministry within the church and have given many people a place to serve. Everything I do in my life is to serve and be a good steward of what the Lord has given me.
