Social Media or Unsocial Media?  Real Advice on Social Media in Associations

Instigating arguments about Association rules, rampant complaints about local businesses, complaints about the complainers, complaints about the complaints about complainers, passive-aggressive behavior and general nonsensical rage and the occasional relevant and helpful post... What do we do?  How do we turn Negative Social Media into a Positive Communication Tool?

Our 2nd quarter board member class will be held on Thursday, May 23 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Northwest - 5535 University Heights Blvd. 78249.  This class will cover how to respond (or NOT respond) to online feedback.  We will also discuss creating a social media policy for your association.  Our class will be led by Melissa Gentry, owner of Hill Country Homeowners, two of San Antonio's most respected association attorneys, Bill Crist and Tom Placier, and will feature a panel of several local board members with experience in navigating social media.

In addition to these questions, board members will be invited to ask questions about challenging cases in their communities and learn from the problems in other associations.  Sandwiches and snacks will be provided.  Please RSVP so we can make sure we have room for everyone.  RSVP early as our last 2 classes were completely full and resulted in a wait list.  Save your spot now!  See you there!
