Board Education Class: Holding Annual/Board Meetings Online, and Creating a Health and Safety Plan, and More COVID Questions Answered
Heading on into summer associations are faced with making changes to operate under new normal and government requirements. It appears that restrictions ae not going to be lifted soon so it’s imperative that we find a way to operate the association business. This board education class is here to help you navigate the uncharted territory. Our next board education class will be held online on Tuesday July 21, 2020 at 6PM. Please RSVP here.
Did you know that associations are now required to create and file a Health and Safety plan? We will cover what the plan needs to address to be compliant with county requirements. Failure to have a plan could result in fines for the association.
What are the different requirements and strategies to hold board and annual meetings online? Now that we are well into summer, many boards have been postponing board and more importantly annual meeting. We will cover the legal requirements for both types of meetings. We will also share “road tested” techniques to make these meetings positive and productive. We have seen an increase of attendance of about 25% since we started holding meetings online – many of these have never attended a meeting before. This situation creates unknown situations for board, owners, and management. We are here to help!
We will also cover updated COVID news regarding associations. We will touch on opening amenities, assessment collections, covenant enforcement and more. Feel free to submit your association specific questions with your RSVP and we will do our best to find an answer for you at the meeting.
